TOO MUCH TELEVISION IS POISONOUS
Have you ever heard of the cultivation theory? well, this is a theory that explains how people's perception of the real life is influenced by the media. Most people who watch the television too much have cultivated their attitude in a way that they think the TV life is similar to the real life. For your information, the media only portrays 10% of the real life situation.
The more you watch the Television, the more you will get Influenced. People who watch more violent programs on the Television perceive the world to be more violent more than it actually is. Too much consumption of the Television is poisonous. The media is not your friend. They are here to make money and that is why they will selectively pick information that they think will help them make money. There is a phrase in journalism that says IF IT BLEEDS, IT LEADS. This simply means that the news that have violence and controversy will always lead. People fear violence but they would rather enjoy other people of course not related to them being victims of Violence. Humans are sadists naturally and I would tell you this free of charge that IT IS ONLY YOUR PARENTS THAT WANTS YOU TO DO MORE THAN THEM. Other people will tend to support you but deep in their hearts, they will never let you beat them. anyway, that is a topic for another day.
In Kenya, most women watch soap Operas too much. In soap Operas, you will always find that romantic person, let us call him Alehandro. The Alehandro is always romantic and treats ladies right Now, when a lady gets exposed to this programs too much, they cultivate a humongous attitude and expect to have their own Alehandro in the real life. This is the reason the ladies will turn down any normal person in their real life expecting to be approached with that TV personality who is fictional but they are rigid to admit that such a person doesn't exist in the real life. They will turn down every man coming their way and realize that they will never get the Alehandro when it is too much.

For instance, people who watch too much of the action programs, they get their attitude cultivated and they act like they are bad guys who are no nonsense like the actors in the programs they are watching.
Now, for you to grow and become an independent person, do not trust everything the media puts out there. Try to analyze it in your own ways. Always remember, media is here to make money and they do not give a damn about your well being.
